Meet The QWC Management

John Neppel

Managing Director, Principal 

John joined Great Point Capital in 2009 and is a Principal with our Wealth Management Group. He has particular expertise in the origination, analysis and selection of alternative investments strategies. John works hard to balance lofty goals with realistic expectations for the markets. He employs a mix of asset allocation and targeted investments to reach desired levels of return while limiting the amount of risk. John has a BA in Economics from the University of Iowa.

DUE DILIGENCE

Janessa Carrillo

Senior Analyst

Janessa initially joined Great Point Capital's Due Diligence team in April 2022 as an intern. Her main responsibilities involve conducting in-depth evaluation and analysis of 1031 Exchange DSTs, Qualified Opportunity Zone Funds, and various Private Placement offerings. She also engages in extensive Sponsor and Industry research. Furthermore, she supports the back office in driving business development initiatives. Janessa completed her BA in Economics at Loyola University Chicago in the Fall of 2023.

Fiona Bartholomew

Fiona joined the Due Diligence team as an intern at Great Point in June 2023. She works on conducting research and analyzes various offering types. She is also the current author of all weekly GPC blog posts. Fiona just graduated with a finance degree from Northeastern University in the fall of 2024.

Investment Analyst

Tony Carrillo

Tony joined Great Point Capital's team in February 2023, where he plays a pivotal role by providing valuable support across multiple critical areas of the firm. Tony has begun to develop his skills and knowledge in Alternative Investments by assisting the team with the due diligence process. Tony demonstrates exceptional skills in filing commissions, showcasing meticulous attention to detail by serving as an assistant to GPC's AR Manager. Currently pursuing a BBA in Finance at Loyola University Chicago, Tony is slated to graduate in Spring 2026.

Junior Investment Analyst

Tyler Maca

Tyler joined the Great Point Capital team in May 2024, where he helps evaluate DST products along with other alternative investments structures on our platform. Now, at Quincy Wells, Tyler continues working intermittently as a diligence analyst as he completes his undergraduate education at Illinois State University, where he is slated to graduate in the spring of 2027 with a degree in Finance and Accounting. In his free time, Tyler enjoys playing golf and going to the gym.

Celine Azem

Marceline (Celine) Azem started working full time for Great Point Capital in May of 2023, upon completion of her BA in political science from Loyola University Chicago. She primarily performs in operations and RIA client relations. She also leads the onboarding process. Additionally, she assists in back-office business development.

Preet Deol

Preet is originally from California and relocated to Chicago in 2023 where she quickly fell in love with the city's energy (and deep-dish pizza debates). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and currently holds the AR Manager position at Great Point Capital. Preet is on track to earn her CPA certification.
